THE COMPANY.

Hello wonderful people!

I'm sorry the blog wasn't updated yesterday because Ziqun, me, Peizhen, Elizabeth & Geraldine were all stuck in the MRT yesterday and returned home quite late :P

An overview of yesterday...

Firstly, after colours, we proceeded to 4H to be briefed by Ms Huda. Each patrol discussed about how to raise the competition for the cookie sale, and each patrol came up with great and creative ideas :D well done to Dawn, Radiah, ZiQun, Xinkai, Sheri & Venice for volunteering (or kenna sabo-ed) and representing each patrol :)

Next, Ms Huda told us about exchanging pen-pal letters with guides from the UK. We all read an email regarding the guides system in the UK. Halfway, 3 guides and their guider came from Broadrick (sorry for mispelling if there is ><) to join us for a day.

Afterwords, each patrol took turns to build a ladder, emergency shelter, and chop firewood. We also taught the sec 1s and the broadrick guides firelighting, while the sec 2s and 3s practiced digging a hole and starting a fire (PROPERLY).

However, before we could try boiling water, rain clouds appeared and we had to pack up D: well done to those who managed to start fires though!

Back in 4H, we ate cupcakes, which were baked by Ms Huda :D we also sang taps, and packed up and left.

We hope our guides have learnt the following after a hands-on experience yesterday:

-building a ladder
-building an emergency shelter
-chopping firewood
-starting a fire

Also, a shout-out to all guides, please remember to:

-Remember what we learnt yesterday
-Preparations for cookie sale (eg getting keychains, etc etc)
-learn your knots (in case we are tested next week) (Flowerpeckians, you'd better do this, since you didnt learn it.. yet. *stern face*)
