"reflections on 20/7/2012"

(sorry for writing the blog late.)

On 20/7, we started our guides meeting by doing colours as usual. Madam Li Min ask yan wen and liyana to be the in-charge for today colours. We had to stand under the hot sun for a very long time because our patrol mynah did not make the flagpole correctly and the people who are the colour party have to remake it... After colours , we need to take our things to 3A classroom. the sec 2 had organised an amazing race for us.... After the whole amazing race , we learnt many things and had fun. After that , we practiced our songs for teachers' day. We all sang the song i'm yours. After that , we sang taps and went home.

"Gardens By The bay Trail :D"

Today we went to Gardens by the bay to earn our Fauna and Flora badge. Our Ma'ams accompanied us together with the PSs. We went in our patrols for this trip. The first activity my patrol did was to capture a picture with ourselves and the Singapore Flyer, Conservatory and the Super Trees as the backdrop. We managed to get someone else to help us take the picture as all of us needed to be in it. We asked a personnel from Gardens by the bay to help us in one question, "Why is the icon of gardens by the bay a dragonfly?". I never thought that the answer was because there were a lot of dragonflies before and during the construction of Gardens by the bay 0_o.We headed to Chinese Garden. We collected fallen flowers when we see some as it was also part of the activity:). We went to the Malay Gardens. We met up with LiMin at the rest to do an activity. We had to listen to an animal sound and go around that area trying to find which sound matches the one we listened to. I think we were supposed to go back but because my patrol had not been to some gardens yet, we didn't. My patrol was given another 30 mins to complete those we have not done. We went back to the Malay Garden. We asked the lady at the information counter. Turns out she is an ex-student of BDS!! We went to the Indian Garden and headed back to the entrance when we had finished our work. I admired the flowers while i was doin my work. They're all so colourful n pretty... We took a group photo n headed back to school. Although i was really tired from all the walking, i had fun!!
